In 1950 Karl Leysieffer created the first Himmlische (heavenly) praline. At that time, however, still under a different name. The cream truffle only received its name, which is now known throughout Germany, in 1972 from a Osnabrück priest. He noticed again and again how "heavenly" the creamy filling tasted in combination with the milk chocolate coating and sugar crust. And because there can be no more accurate description on earth for our heavenly tastin praline, the priest's word was the proverbial divine inspiration to baptize it "Die Himmlische".

The beans are roasted really slowly and the conching of the cocoa mass takes several days. Semi-Sweet Chocolate
Our dark chocolate bar delivers a pure cocoa taste. Made without foreign fats and with a cocoa content of at least 56%, this chocolate develops an original and authentic aroma. Vintage Chocolate 70% with Kashmir chilli
Firstly, you will sense its bitter taste, just as a really good, very dark chocolate should taste. And the minute you start to wonder whether the chocolatiers at Leysieffer have forgotten some of the ingredients, you will realize: No, they didn’t forget anything. The hot chili taste that comes from the Indian Kashmiri chili pepper develops slightly later than the chocolate flavor in the chocolate bar with 70% cocoa content. What an exciting taste experience! Our vintage chocolate 70% with ginger has a particularly powerful taste. The high-proof chocolate and the spicy, slightly lemony ginger note complement each other perfectly. Our vintage chocolates consist of the best cocoa beans and pure cocoa butter. In this case, the chocolate was also refined with ginger. Because of the high cocoa content the chocolate continues to mature over time and develop even more aroma and taste which we have complemented here with a hint of ginger.
